The valley and its neighbors

Markhor Meadow has ten residents, and each one moves in when you build the place they run. They keep their own hours, walk to work, gather in the evening and go home to sleep. Some are early birds and some keep evening hours. A few of them are not people at all.

The early risers

Wazir runs the Workshop and is your very first neighbor. Gulzar runs the Sawmill and Doulat the Mason’s yard. Shazia tends the Orchard barn, Neshat watches the river from the Fishing lodge, and Karim, a goat, looks after the goats.

The evening crowd

Mehr the hamster bakes, Zarina weaves, Bibi Sana the owl runs the Healing house, and Barf, a snow-leopard cub, keeps watch from the Watchtower.

What they want

Every resident has a favorite thing, a first request when they arrive, a little ask each day and a piece of furniture they would love near their workplace. Bring it and they say thank you, warmly. Neshat would like one salmon, to study its colors. Barf would like three vegetables, because lookouts get very hungry.

And then there is Zarif, the winged snow-leopard merchant, and the sky dragon that glides over the valley and grants a wish on the summit.
