Zarif, keeper of the mountain, is the merchant of Markhor Meadow: a great winged snow-leopard spirit. He has golden spiral horns, a woven collar and a very good eye for furniture.
What Zarif does
- Trades blueprints. Once your first home is built, Zarif opens a trade in nine furniture blueprints, paid for in Silver. In his words: “Learn a blueprint once, then make as many as you like.” You craft each piece from your own village’s stock.
- Brings weekend treasures. On Saturdays and Sundays Zarif adds rare stock: a diamond each day and one rare, ready-made piece of furniture each weekend.
Zarif and the sky dragon are not the same
The valley has two big creatures, and they are easy to mix up. Zarif is the merchant. The sky dragon is a long dragon that now and then glides over the village. When it lands on the snowy summit, climb up and make a wish: pick a supply, and with a 35% chance the winds grant you 100 of it. One wish each visit, and nothing is lost by trying.
You will meet Zarif early. Say salaam.
