How Markhor Meadow plays

Markhor Meadow is a relaxed village builder. You gather, craft and build in real time, then decorate, fish, garden and look after your neighbors. Here is everything you do in a day.

In shortMarkhor Meadow is a single-player, offline village builder for iPhone. You are the mayor: you plan the village, build it in real time, then fill it with neighbors, furniture, fish and vegetables. It will be free, with optional Coins that only speed things up.

Build in real time

Build in real time

  • From 10 minutes for the Mayor’s house to 24 hours for the Mountain fortress and cathedral.
  • Help build takes 5% off a timer, once every ten minutes per site.
  • Start with two builders; the Mason’s yard and Town hall add one each.
  • Buildings wait under a tarp until you reveal them yourself.

Gather and craft

  • Chop trees for wood and break rocks for stone, iron ore and the odd diamond.
  • Craft planks, blocks and cloth: up to five at a time per station.
  • Send an idle resident on a 2 to 8 hour trip to the pine forest, the mountain pass or the high glacier.

  • Learn Zarif’s nine mountain blueprints once, then craft them as often as you like.
  • Every resident has a favorite thing. Put it near them.

Fish and garden

  • Salmon, sturgeon, jellyfish and sharks live in the river.
  • Tomato, okra and mint beds grow in minutes; water them for the garden events.
  • A fish of the day bites faster in its two-hour window and pays a Silver bonus.

Neighbors with lives of their own

  • Residents wake, work, see friends and sleep on their own schedules.
  • Each brings a first request, a daily ask and a wish for one special piece of furniture.
  • Morning letters, gifts, a seven-day calendar and a weekly festival.
Daily life and rewards

A valley that changes

Day and night, four seasons, rain and snow. A village day lasts 48 real minutes, while calendars, letters, events and the fish of the day follow your real days.

Day and night

Lanterns glow, residents head home, the sky turns to stars.

Four seasons

Spring, summer, autumn and winter, each with its own event day.

Weather

Rain and snow, and residents who have opinions about both.

Weekly festival

A five-tier reward track; nothing unclaimed is lost.

Coins and Silver, plainly

Silver is earned by playing and buys furniture in the Shop and blueprints from Zarif. Coins are optional: you earn up to 8 free each day, and you can buy packs if you want to speed things up. Every Coin spend asks you to confirm and shows what it is worth in real money. Everything in the game can be earned by playing and waiting. The full guide.
