Your first ten minutes
- Look around. Your settlement starts as a clearing in the meadow. Trees give wood and rocks give stone.
- Build the Mayor’s house. It takes 10 minutes and welcomes Wazir, your first neighbor. It also opens Zarif’s mountain trade.
- Follow the project chain. The journal shows the village project. The first one is the Workshop: gather and deliver 24 wood and 8 stone, then build and reveal it.
- Craft planks. At the Workshop, 2 wood become 1 plank in 3 minutes. Wazir’s first order is five planks.
- Keep one build going. Something should always be under construction. Tap Help build whenever you pass a site.
Your first day
Build the Sawmill (Gulzar) and the Mason’s yard (Doulat) next. The Mason’s yard teaches block crafting and gives you a third builder. After that the order is yours: the Bakery, Orchard barn, Goat shelter, Healing house, Fishing lodge, Weaving house and Watchtower each welcome a new resident.
| Resident | Moves in with | Build time |
|---|---|---|
| Wazir | Workshop | 30 minutes |
| Gulzar | Sawmill | 45 minutes |
| Doulat | Mason’s yard | 1 hour |
| Mehr | Bakery | 2 hours |
| Shazia | Orchard barn | 2 hours 30 minutes |
| Neshat | Fishing lodge | 3 hours 30 minutes |
| Karim | Goat shelter | 3 hours |
| Bibi Sana | Healing house | 3 hours 30 minutes |
| Zarina | Weaving house | 4 hours |
| Barf | Watchtower | 4 hours |
Good habits
- Reveal everything. Finished buildings wait under a tarp until you pull it off.
- Answer requests. Each resident has a first request, a daily ask and a wish for a piece of furniture. Daily asks also pay a couple of free Coins.
- Check the morning letters. Residents write one or two each day, often with a small gift or a tip, such as today’s fish of the day.
- Leave things running. Building timers, crafting queues and workplace storage all keep going while you are away.
- Look up for the sky dragon. When it lands on the snowy summit, climb up and make a wish: one wish each visit, a 35% chance of 100 of the supply you pick.
Controls
Markhor Meadow is played in landscape on iPhone with touch: a joystick to walk, a button to run, and taps for everything else. The book at the top of the screen holds the village, residents, trips, the shop and your journal.
