The mayor

In Markhor Meadow you play the mayor: the person who turns an empty clearing in a mountain valley into a village. You choose where every home and workshop goes, gather the wood and stone to build them, and welcome each new neighbor in person.

That is you

A cheerful bearded mayor in a turban, waistcoat and mustard scarf.

Being mayor is a hands-on job. You walk the meadow, chop wood, break rocks, haul supplies to building sites and tap Help build when a neighbor is waiting on a roof. When a building finishes under its tarp, you are the one who pulls the tarp off. The game never does that part for you.

Everyone calls you mayor. Wazir and Zarif greet you with “Salaam, mayor.” The sky dragon calls you “little mayor.” The residents write you morning letters, ask you for small favors and remember what they love.

You can also keep more than one village on the same phone, so you can be the mayor of several valleys at once.

Placing a new plot, recorded in build 22.
